  They told me that I would get an emissions notification the following year after buying a car. Turns out you have 30 days according to the DMV. I spent $4000 on a new transmission on my other car and it failed emissions twice there. The first time it failed they said we needed to drive it about 60 miles and it would be fine. We drove it over 100 miles and returned and it failed again for the same reason. When asked why, they told my wife they didn't know why it failed but they'd be happy to do a diagnostic on it for $75-80 dollars. They don't seem to know what they're talking about.
